Loving the Spring

I'm almost down to the toes on my current, pink socks. Pictures later.

We went for a walk in the park this morning. This beautiful bush puts out lovely red leaves in the springtime, and delecate white flowers.

Life is still good. Glad the Health Care Bill passed the house.

Have a good Spring, y'all.

  1. That's a great shot, Diane - did it remind you of your socks too. It's almost an "arrangement" - so wonderful that nature can do this.

  2. Alas, no blooms yet around here. But the deer are out still wearing their winter coats and the gooseberry stealers (Cedar Waxwings) can be heard in the woods. The photo is beautiful. Any idea what the bush is named? Renate

  3. Renate, it's a Photinia of one type or another, I believe. There is a native variety (Photinia arbutifolia); however, our city park has a lot of exotic plants left in it from when it was private property owned by the Bidwells. So, I'm not sure exactly which photinia it is.
